ga’NEW / Fonkoze Microcredit Program
HAITI: One Seed For A Woman in Need
The Global Action Network of Entrepreneurial Women has teamed up with the largest, most successful and most respected microfinance institution in Haiti to create a custom-designed microcredit program especially for our ga’NEW Star Members and our generous contributors.
Your contribution will help enable 50 — FIFTY! — Haitian women who are now living on less than $1 a day to begin to learn the skills that will enable them to move their lives forward — sustainably.
By sustainably we mean that these 50 women will gradually become full-fledged entrepreneurs who are growing their businesses, independent of foreign aid or hand-outs. Their businesses will translate into food, clothing, health care and education for their children, families and themselves.
With your help, Fonkoze’s time-tested program of educating, training, and assisting with beginning micro-loans will enable these enterprising women will turn their lives around.
They will build their own small businesses, joining the ranks of entrepreneurial women worldwide. Just like you, our Haitian sisters seek the independence and joy of self-sufficiency. Their courage and hard work will lead them to a self-respect and dignity they’ve never before known.

Our Haitian sisters are not the only beneficiaries of this program. One Seed For A Woman In Need benefits you, as well:
- Get to know — personally — the recipients of your contribution through our Circle of Sisters!
While our Haitian neighbors typically do not have access to technology and, more basically, the literacy skills to communicate with us, we have arranged for a representative to join us in our virtual Circle of Sisters Salon. Their representative will tell us about the individual women we are helping: their stories, their dreams, their businesses and their progress.
Where else can you contribute, knowing the individual recipients of your contribution, and establishing a personal connection with them?
- Enjoy the richness of knowing you are sharing love and prosperity by directly enabling 50 women currently living in poverty to build a better life in a self-sustaining way.
- Feel the satisfaction of sharing a contribution that will be recycled, over time, enabling the next group of 50 women to progress as the first group has.
